FAQ

Why consider ID4life when I have other forms of identification already?

The ID 4 Life identification packages will contain laminated / PVC credit card type ID cards per recipient. These will be durable and comprehensive with regards to the information reflected. They will prove to be handy enough to carry on your person at most times and will “speak” for you when it is needed the most. Our packages will empower you to be proactive and eliminate crucial minutes being wasted when someone needs to be identified or found. They will no doubt form part of a proactive safety plan that does not limit you to any particular criteria and offers vital assistance to authorities and families in times of crises and / or emergency.

Why should I get my child and / or family member to use any identification and safety peripherals at all?

In today’s day and age it is important to both empower and educate your children – in fact the whole family - regarding their personal safety and security.
Children should not only be empowered but also taught to take some responsibility for their own safety together with their parents and guardians but they should also be taught that it must become a habit too.
To teach them about what they could expect if they choose to take chances is not only the best a parent can do for their children, but is also a reality our children need to learn to understand and face.   What better way to do this than to assist them in forming habits that could ultimately save their lives in a case of any emergency, regardless of whether a responsible adult is with them at the time or not.  Help them to learn, at an early age, to allow their identification wristbands and peripherals to speak for them when they are unable to do so for themselves.

Will the comprehensive ID 4 Life electronic identification options ONLY be for my children or can we make use of them for the whole family?

Our comprehensive electronic ID packages will be for newborns right up to great grandfathers & mothers, etc.  We all need protection in some form and even though the concept started with our younger generations in mind, we need to remember that we wouldn’t be here today if it were not for our older generations.  Many of us, not only feel responsible for our children, but we also take care of our siblings, parents and even grandparents and friends.  Everyone who is anyone could only benefit in an emergency situation having a comprehensive electronic ID package – so we will not discriminate at all – and the earlier you make use of such an option, the better ... but it is never too late!

I am looking for a “tracker” that will sound a warning when my child goes out of range or vibrates to alert the child it should not go beyond a certain point.  Can you help?

Please bear in mind that looking for "Tracker" type option one also needs to consider that satellite based tracker systems would need you to link to the internet to locate what / who is lost before you can actively begin a search.

Besides the option of a cellular phone or tracking system, there is little choice in South Africa for this alternative currently.  Choosing such an option for your child would mean that your child would need to be responsible enough to not loose the device required tracking them – which every mother knows is a big feat for any child under a certain age.  Most parents make sure they are constantly aware of the whereabouts of their children whether they are at a mall or any other public place – any responsible parent should!  Our child locators will make this an easier task for any parent and making any of our peripheral products become habitual will be there both for the safety of the child and the peace of mind of the parent / guardian. Ask us now about our NEW MOMMY I’M HERE CHILD LOCATOR WITH THE ALERT FEATURE – this product will offer parents a functional alternative to a tracking system with its perimeter protection “alert” function.

I have family coming over from the UK to SA to visit and they have a 5-year-old son. I need to know: How do we afford him the safety of a booster / car seat without going to the expense of purchasing one?

South African seat belt legislation requires that all drivers and passengers over the age of three years wear seatbelts (children under three years must be in a car seat or child restraint).  Children over the age of four can use a booster seat up to the age of eleven years. Booster seats are designed to serve as a bridge from when a child is too big for a baby seat but not yet big enough to wear a safety belt. If you are not able to incur the costs of purchasing a car / booster seat, we are able to offer you a product called Secure-A-Kid.
